Taronga Zoo

Yesterday we went to Syndey's Taronga Zoo. I think it's the best zoo I've ever been to. It was so easy to navigate and it had such a wide variety of animals and tons of keepers doing shows for the visitors. The facilities were extremely nice and they were quite spacious for the animals.

My favorite part was seeing the giraffes. They had a blind giraffe named Hope who when hungry just lets her tongue hang out of her mouth and drool. There were 3 other giraffes with her in the keeper was feeding them... their tongues were about as long as the guys from KISS. They also had these snow leapords that were absolutely gorgeous. All three cats were younger in age and were bouncing off the walls playing with each other. We saw the tigers right before feeding... they were actually extremely scary and running around their cage in circles (not really a cage, it was quite a big area) I've never seen an animal so intense!

I took a ton of film at the zoo... about 3 rolls or so. I hope I got some good shots. The fun thing about film is that it's like Christmas morning whenever you get the pictures developed. You never really know what you're getting, then you sort through the pics and you're like ahhh check this out!! I have taken so many pictures the past two months. It's been awesome to get back into shooting again. I rarely do it at home on my own time anymore, this trip has definitely made me get back into the routine.
